PNB prices these differently: individuals pay a flat ₹500/₹1,000 by a ₹20,000 gross threshold; others pay a USD-equivalent-tiered commission.
Without it, GST on currency conversion uses the slab-based valuation (Rule 32(2), Method 2).
5,000.00 USD × ₹83.50
Outward Remittance Commission
₹1,000 flat, gross > ₹20,000, individual remitter (PNB Schedule of Charges §5.2).
SWIFT / NICNET / INFINET Charges
₹500 + ₹90 flat messaging fee, added on top of commission for outward SWIFT remittances (PNB Schedule of Charges §5.2).
GST on Commission
18% × ₹1,000.00 commission.
GST on Currency Conversion
CBIC Rule 32(2) value of supply = ₹1,000 + 0.5% × (₹417,500.00 − ₹1,00,000) = ₹2,587.50. GST = 18% × ₹2,587.50.
Commission and SWIFT charges follow PNB's published Schedule of Forex Charges §5.2 (Outward Remittances, other than Imports); GST follows CBIC Rule 32(2); TCS follows §206C(1G). The "Other" remitter tier uses USD-denominated slabs approximated to INR when the currency isn't USD — treat this as an estimate, not a guarantee.
